BONE MARROW TIME

Last week i went into the hospital only to come out 1 liter of bone marrow lighter. Here is a short summary of how it went:

Once at the hospital, i changed into a gown, (although i don't know what the point of that was, seeing that in Europe the gowns are completely see-through. haha no joke) and then i was wheeled, in my bed, down stairs to the operating room. Before the anesthetic kicked in, i remember there were about 5 gorgeous nurses around me and some very futuristic lights hanging from movable arms on the ceiling. While i was asleep, two doctors extracted the marrow out of the center of my bones with very large needles, (im not sure exactly how they did it) but when i awoke i was very sore. i stayed overnight in the box,(isolation room) to receive blood because my blood had gone quite low. It was interesting to experience, "the box" as in the near future i will be spending a lot of time there. Now it has been almost a week and my back is almost better, with only a bunch of small round scars as a memory... Next its my mamas turn.... :)

Besides hospital stuff...the sun is still shinin although it is definitely chillier and i am gone back to dancing.

HIGHLIGHT: I bought myself a big canvas and i will start my first real painting (on canvas) soon. I think it will be of my mama.

Hi,

I will be a donor for an unknown recepient. It is my first experience. Don't know if I should do the needle procedure or the new PBSC(Stem Cell) procedure. Any opinions?

thanks
